Jessica Wansart

As the daughter of educators I grew up with dinner table discussions on the trials and tribulations of learning and teaching in the public school system. Although I spent my formative scholastic years in New England I have called Portland, OR home until my recent relocation to Austin to pursue my MSSW (Master of Science in Social Work) at UT.

Erin Willig

I hail from a family of opinionated public school teachers. I was raised primarily in Idaho and Montana and am a product of rural public schools. A refugee from the soggy Pacific Northwest, I’m settling into life in Texas and my first year as an MSSW student at the University of Texas at Austin.

NOTE: Despite uncanny parallels, the authors deny any knowledge of ever seeing or meeting one another in Portland. However, considerable decreases in rainfall and fog have finally allowed their powers to combine in the fully glory of the Austin sunshine.
